The eye health of our indigenous population is fundamental to the welfare of these often remote communities.  Delivery of modern state-of-the-art medical and surgical care is geographically, politically, financially and ophthalmologicaly a formidable challenge.  Mark Loane has worked in this area for over 20 years and shares valuable insights into what has been achieved and what still needs to be done.  It is a model shared throughout Australia, but translatable to indigenous eye care throughout the world.
