iStent Inject by Glaukos

The iStent inject by Glaukos is a heparin-coated titanium stent or MIGS device. It is often inserted in conjunction with cataract surgery or can be done as a standalone procedure. A gonioprism is placed on the eye to visualise the angle structures. The device is injected into the trabecular meshwork, targeting an aqueous vein indicated by increased pigmentation or vascularity. Reflux of blood is seen indicating correct placement.
